Unlocking Savings with Amex Offers: My #DealsForDays Secret

November 10, 2024

If you know me, you know I’m always on the hunt for the best deals! Now, I’m no “extreme couponer”, but I do love a good bargain! So, when I discovered Amex Offers from American Express years ago, it was like I struck gold.

What are Amex Offers?

Amex Offers is a fantastic benefit for American Express cardholders, offering exclusive deals at a variety of companies. To access these offers, I just log into my account and scroll to the Amex Offers section.

Pro Tip: If you’re using the Amex mobile app, look for the Offers tab at the bottom of the screen.

Choosing the Right Offers

With a rotating selection of over 100 offers, Amex Offers covers everything from restaurants to cashback on cruises. The offers change frequently, so there’s always something new!

How Amex Offers Work

Here’s how it works:

  1. Save an Offer: Click “Add to Card” for the offers you want.
  2. Shop with Amex: Make a purchase at the selected retailer using your Amex card and meet the minimum spend.
  3. Check Terms: Some retailers allow multiple transactions to reach the minimum, and others have exclusions (like gift cards).
  4. Redeem Savings: Once you make a qualifying purchase, American Express will notify you by email—usually within minutes!

My Savings Journey with Amex Offers

Over the years, I’ve saved over $2,000 by taking advantage of Amex Offers on items I would be buying regardless!

Here are some of my favorite offers I’ve redeemed:

  • JCPenney
  • Walmart
  • Verizon Wireless
  • Petco
  • Macy’s
  • Olive Garden
  • Royal Caribbean
  • Lowe’s
  • Airbnb

For those serious about savings, you can stack Amex Offers with cashback or coupon sites like Raise, Ebates, and RetailMeNot to increase your savings even more!

Interested in an Amex Card? Here’s How to Get Started!

If you don’t yet have an Amex card, consider signing up to access these offers!

The Amex Platinum is my favorite reward card, however, it does come with a steep annual fee. The fee easily pays for itself with the perks you get but if you’re looking for a card with no annual fee, I’d recommend the Blue Cash Preferred card. You earn 6% back on groceries and 3% back on gas, which makes a noticeable difference.

Here are a referral link for the Blue Cash Preferred and one for the Amex Platinum card.

Final Thoughts

Amex Offers is a powerful tool in my savings toolbox, and it’s worth checking out if you’re an Amex cardholder. Just remember, these offers change often, so keep an eye on your account to catch the latest deals.
